Spider Crane Daily "5-Minute" Pre- & Post-Operational Inspection Checklist

Section 1: Pre-Operational Machine Test Run

Before starting any lifting tasks, you must perform at least one complete no-load test cycle on your glt mini crawler crane.

Full Range of Motion: Operate the outriggers, slewing table, telescopic boom, and winch through their full range to ensure every movement is smooth and free of mechanical lag.

Acoustic Diagnostics: Listen closely for any unusual metal-on-metal friction, grinding, or high-pitched squealing from the hydraulic pump.

System Pressure Check: Monitor the hydraulic system to confirm steady performance and verify that oil pressure levels remain within the standard operating range for the GLT CSC80.

Section 2. Wire Rope Inspection

Any minor damage to the wire rope can lead to a severe accident:

Spooling & Reeving Condition: Check the rope on the reel and the pulley whether wound normal or not, whether exist the phenomena such as off slot, string slot, knot, twist and so on.

Damage & Condition Assessment:

Check the steel wire rope whether is wear or not, or exist broken wires, check the lubrication status of the steel wire rope.

Ensure that the hook have fixed reliable, the rotating parts is flexible, and no cracks, no peeling, the anti-loose device of the nut on hook is finished.

Section 3. Hook and Safety Devices

Hook Integrity: Ensure the hook is securely fixed and that all rotating parts move freely. The hook body must be free of cracks or surface peeling.

Securing Devices:

Ensure that the hook have fixed reliable, the rotating parts is flexible, and no cracks, no peeling, the anti-loose device of the nut on hook is finished.

The high degree of wear on the dangerous section of the hook is no more than 5% of the original.

Section 4. Fastening and Cleaning: The "Secret" to Service Life Extension

Critical Fastening: Focus on inspecting bolts in the travel system, winch base, and boom connection pins for any signs of loosening.

Surface Cleaning: Promptly remove dust, dirt, and lubricants (grease) from the machine body.

Note: Cleaning is not just for aesthetics; it allows you to immediately spot early-stage fluid leaks.

Lubrication Point Inspection: Conduct a quick check on all rotating pin shafts for traces of grease; replenish with lubricants (grease) whenever necessary.
