COMMON MAINTENANCE SOLUTIONS

Q: Track tension is loose?

Follow our 2-minute video guide to adjust the tensioning bolt using standard tools. Proper tension ensures longevity of the rubber tracks.[Watch Video]

Q: Machine won't start in cold weather?

Check battery voltage and glow plug status. Ensure you are using winter-grade diesel and hydraulic fluid for temperaturesbelow 0°C. [Read More]

Q: How to reset the safety sensor?

Ensure all outriggers are fully deployed and the machine is level. Check for any debris near the limit switches. [Step-by-Step]

Proactive Maintenance: Protect Your Investment & Ensure Peak Performance

At LIFTSGLT, we believe a machine is only as reliable as its upkeep. To maximize the service life of your mini crawler crane and ensure safety on every job site, we’ve developed a streamlined maintenance protocol. Whether you’ve just taken delivery of a new unit or are managing a long-term fleet, follow our expert guides below to eliminate downtime and maintain the highest resale value for your equipment.

BREAK-IN MAINTENANCE

BREAK-IN MAINTENANCE

Entering high-intensity operations without a scientific break-in period causes premature wear and tear, which significantly reduces the equipment's service life.

  • Step 1: Initial Inspection & Prep
-Deep Clean: Keep the exterior spotless to easily spot any early oil leaks or loose parts.
-Fastener Check: Tighten all bolts, especially on the travel system and boom connections.
-First Lube: Complete a full lubrication cycle following the Lubrication Points Diagram.
  • Step 2: Advanced Hydraulic Oil Management
-The Critical Change: You must perform a full hydraulic oil change after the first 60 hours. This removes microscopic metal shavings that can damage the pump.
-Specs: Use L-HM46 oil (approx. 80L). Fill until the gauge reads "Full".
-Long-term: After the first change, service every 600 hours or every 24 months maximum.
  • Step 3: Professional Flushing & Oil Change Procedure
    -Don't just drain; Deep Clean.
-Scrub the tank interior and perform a secondary flush with fresh oil before the final refill to eliminate all residual contaminants.
  • Step 4: The Science of Lubrication During Break-in
-Focus Areas: Travel system, winch bearings, hook blocks, and pivot pins.
DAILY

DAILY

Daily "5-Minute" Pre- & Post-Operational Inspection Checklist

  • Section 1: Pre-Operational Machine Test Run
-Full Range of Motion: Operate the outriggers, slewing table, telescopic boom, and winch through their full range to ensure every movement is smooth and free of mechanical lag.
-Acoustic Diagnostics: Listen closely for any unusual metal-on-metal friction, grinding, or high-pitched squealing from the hydraulic pump.
-System Pressure Check: Monitor the hydraulic system to confirm steady performance and verify that oil pressure levels remain within the standard operating range for the mini crawler crane.
  • Section 2. Wire Rope Inspection
-Spooling & Reeving Condition: Check the rope on the reel and the pulley whether wound normal or not, whether exist the phenomena such as off slot, string slot, knot, twist and so on.
  • Section 3. Hook and Safety Devices
-Hook Integrity: Ensure the hook is securely fixed and that all rotating parts move freely. The hook body must be free of cracks or surface peeling.
  • Section 4. Fastening and Cleaning: The "Secret" to Service Life Extension
-Critical Fastening: Focus on inspecting bolts in the travel system, winch base, and boom connection pins for any signs of loosening.
-Surface Cleaning: Promptly remove dust, dirt, and lubricants (grease) from the machine body.
MONTHLY / ANNUAL

MONTHLY / ANNUAL

Mini crawler crane maintenance schedule: monthly & annual guide

  • Tier 1: Monthly Inspection (Focus: Lube & Fastening)
-Pivot Lubrication: Grease all pins per the LIFTSGLT Diagram to prevent dry friction.
-Precision Tightening: Secure all loose bolts, especially on the engine base and hydraulic pump.
-Pulley Audit: Check pulleys for cracks and ensure smooth, flexible rotation.
-Performance Test: Verify start-stop fluidity and eliminate any "torsion phenomena."
  • Tier 2: Annual Service (Focus: Structure & Hydraulics)
-NDT Weld Testing: Inspect critical welds for cracks. Corrosion limit: <10% of plate thickness.
-Hoist Calibration: Verify boom alignment. Drum wear limit: <20%; ensure grooves aren't sharp.
-System Purification: Deep-clean the hydraulic tank and filters to ensure 100% oil passage.
