MAINTENANCE

The Towable Boom Lift relies heavily on the synergistic function of its hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Therefore, proper maintenance is crucial for ensuring both operator safety and long-term equipment lifespan. The maintenance of a spider crane can be divided into Daily Checks, Periodic Maintenance, and Professional Overhaul.

Safety First:

Before performing any maintenance, ensure the crane is turned off , parked on flat and solid ground, and measures have been taken to prevent accidental movement.

Record Keeping:

Keep detailed maintenance records, tracking working hours and the timing of replaced components, in order to schedule the next maintenance on time.

Spider Crane Maintenance Guide:

The maintenance of a spider crane can be divided into Daily Checks, Periodic Maintenance, and Professional Overhaul.

Professional Maintenance(In accordance with the working hours or the provisions of the manual):

Professional Maintenance(In accordance with the working hours or the provisions of the manual):

  • Air Filter:
Check and clean the air filter element, doing so more frequently in dusty environments. Replace the filter immediately if it is wet or heavily clogged.
  • Fuel and Coolant:
Ensure the fuel used is appropriate for the current temperature. Check the antifreeze coolant level, especially during winter months.
Periodic Maintenance(Weekly/Monthly):

Periodic Maintenance(Weekly/Monthly):

  • Outriggers:
Inspect the cylinder seals on the outriggers and clean the outrigger pads to ensure stable support.
  • Track:
Check the tension of the rubber tracks. If they are too loose, they can derail easily; if they are too tight, they will accelerate wear and tear.
Daily Checks:

Daily Checks:

Before starting work every day, the operator should perform a quick walk-around inspection:

  • Cleaning:
Clean dirt, mud, and debris from the tracks, outriggers, and boom. This is especially important after rainy or snowy weather to prevent rust and corrosion.
  • Wire Ropes and Hooks:
Check the wire ropes for kinks, broken wires, corrosion, or deformation. Inspect the hook safety latch for proper function and the hook body itself for cracks.
